Children's Summer Book & Movie Club (June)

June meeting of the Children's Summer Book & Movie Club.  Read Charlie & the Chocolate Factory by Roald Dahl in advance, watch the 2005 film based on the book at the Hamilton Theater, then join the group for refreshments and discussion at the Bookstore afterwards.

Memerbership is free, but parents should sign their children up in advance by calling 315-228-6944 or via email at helia@colgate.edu.

Open to children ages 7 and up; children 10 and under must be accompanied by an adult.

About the Book:

The gates of Willy Wonka's chocolate factory are opening at last . . . and  only five children will be allowed inside.  But what they find is even wilder than any of the wild rumours they've heard. 

Target age group: 8 and up.

About the Movie:

 Rated PG for quirky situations, action, and mild language.
