About the author:
Melanie Zimmer is a veteran storyteller and puppeteer. She has narrated "Peter and the Wolf" with the Syracuse Symphony and has been a featured artist on Boston's BNN-TV 9 "It's All About The Arts." She has presented her stories and story-telling workshops for Telebration, presented original work at the Morrisville Writer's Jubilee, and lectured at M.I.T. for the League for the Advancement of New England Storytellers "Sharing the Fire" Conference in Spring of 2000. Melanie Zimmer was a long -time member of the Pearl in the Egg Storytelling Guild and the Salt City Storytellers. She is a member of the Puppetry Guild of Upstate New York, the Puppeteers of America, the American Folklore Society, and the New York Folklore Society. She holds puppet making workshops for kids and has created puppets for the regional children's television program "The Enchanted Library." She is a member of the League for the Advancement of New England Storytelling and has performed in thirteen states.
