Maureen Wright: Sleep, Big Bear, Sleep
Saturday, November 14
Start Time: 11:00 AM
Join us for a special children's program when Maureen Wright, author of the new picture book Sleep, Big Bear, Sleep, will read her story aloud and lead children in a special Big Bear craft. This event is free, but to insure we have enough supplies and snacks, parents are asked to register their children in advance by clicking HERE.
About the book:
It's time for Big Bear to hibernate, so Old Man Winter keeps telling him: "Sleep, Big Bear, sleep!" But Big Bear doesn't hear very well and he keeps misunderstanding Old Man Winter's instructions... with very silly results.
About the author:
Sleep, Big Bear, Sleep! is Maureen Wright’s first picture book. She writes at home whenever she can beat her cat, Lyle, to the comfortable computer chair. Maureen and her husband, Don, have three sons and a daughter-in-law; one teenage son still lives at home. They live in Athens Township, PA where bears occasionally cross their property. Maureen’s second picture book, Sneezy, The Snowman is due out in the fall of 2010.
